Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies moved higher on Monday, July 27, as easing geopolitical pressure supported risk appetite ahead of a closely watched Federal Reserve decision. Bitcoin traded at $65,106.57 at the time of checking, gaining 1.03 percent over 24 hours and 1.62 percent over seven days. Its market capitalization stood at $1.31 trillion, while 24-hour trading volume reached $20.80 billion.
The broader market also strengthened. Total cryptocurrency capitalization stood at $2.23 trillion, up 1.28 percent over the previous day, while 24-hour trading volume increased 52.19 percent to $54.68 billion. Bitcoin dominance stood at 58.61 percent, down 0.03 percentage points, indicating that several large altcoins were advancing faster than the market leader.
The improvement coincided with a pause in U.S.-Iran hostilities that sent Brent crude down 8.8 percent to $88.30 per barrel and lifted U.S. equity futures.
Lower oil prices eased some immediate inflation concerns, although geopolitical uncertainty remained elevated. The Federal Reserve’s official calendar confirms that policymakers begin a two-day meeting on July 28, with the decision and press conference scheduled for Wednesday.
ETF flows weaken
Institutional flows remained a restraint. Farside Investors’ Bitcoin ETF data showed net U.S. spot-fund outflows of $225.1 million on Thursday and $240.1 million on Friday, taking the two-session withdrawal to $465.2 million. Ethereum ETF data showed a $70.7 million net outflow on Friday after the funds attracted $26.3 million the previous day. The price rebound therefore occurred despite weaker late-week ETF demand rather than because of renewed institutional inflows.
Ether outperformed Bitcoin, rising 3.9 percent in 24 hours and 5.27 percent over seven days to $1,958.71, with a $237.20 billion market capitalization and $10.44 billion in daily volume. BNB gained 0.43 percent to $573.40 and was 1.13 percent higher for the week. XRP rose 0.68 percent to $1.1081, while Solana advanced 1.94 percent to $76.637.
TRON slipped 0.50 percent to $0.330422 but retained a 1.35 percent weekly gain. Hyperliquid climbed 2.72 percent to $60.2760, although it remained 0.70 percent lower over seven days. Dogecoin declined 0.67 percent to $0.072786 but held a 0.78 percent weekly increase.
Market capitalization remained concentrated among the largest assets. Tether was valued at $183.94 billion, followed by BNB at $76.29 billion, USDC at $72.48 billion, XRP at $69.23 billion and Solana at $44.62 billion. TRON’s capitalization reached $31.35 billion, while Hyperliquid and Dogecoin stood at $15.24 billion and $11.29 billion, respectively.

Further down the market, Litecoin fell 0.38 percent to $46.98. Hedera dropped 1.11 percent to $0.06924 but remained 4.92 percent higher over seven days. Shiba Inu was the sharpest major decliner, sliding 8.59 percent to $0.000006502, although it retained an 18.70 percent weekly surge.
Sui gained 0.03 percent to $0.7168, Avalanche fell 1.11 percent to $6.65 and Cronos rose 1.31 percent to $0.05725.
DeFi-linked tokens produced several of Monday’s strongest moves. Uniswap rallied 4.74 percent to $3.8648 and was up 12.97 percent for the week. NEAR Protocol gained 2.39 percent to $1.8331, Bittensor added 1.16 percent to $198.18 and Ondo surged 7.64 percent to $0.41240, extending its seven-day gain to 19.93 percent.
Aave advanced 5.87 percent to $101 and was 12.06 percent higher weekly. OKB rose 2.38 percent to $86.44, while Aster added 0.10 percent to $0.6275. Stablecoins hold pegs
Stablecoins remained close to their dollar pegs. Tether traded at $0.9997, USDC at $1.0008, Dai at $1.00024, World Liberty Financial USD at $0.9997, Ethena USDe at $1.001, Global Dollar at $0.9999 and PayPal USD at $1.0006. Ripple USD stood at $1.00110 and USDD at $1.
Tokenized gold strengthened with the underlying metal. Tether Gold gained 0.85 percent to $4,091.90 and PAX Gold rose 0.86 percent to $4,095.
Monday’s rebound followed a difficult quarter. CoinGecko’s 2026 Q2 Crypto Industry Report showed that total market capitalization fell 12.6 percent to $2.1 trillion, average daily trading volume declined 20.9 percent and stablecoin capitalization slipped 1.6 percent to $305.1 billion.
The current rise above $2.2 trillion signals stabilization but not yet a decisive market reversal. Bitcoin remains sensitive to ETF flows, oil-driven inflation expectations and Wednesday’s Fed guidance, while ether’s attempt to reclaim $2,000 represents the clearest near-term test for the broader altcoin recovery.
